Admission and Enrollment Policy
Enrollment to Lyons Community Montessori is a two-step process: the application process and the enrollment process. Only after your child has applied and been accepted to LCM do we begin the enrollment process.
To begin the application process for entering your child into LCM, please refer to the enclosed tuition information sheet, select the appropriate program, and complete and return the LCM Student Application Form for School Year 2009-2010, along with a nonrefundable $45 application fee per family. Please make check payable to LCM and mail to LCM, PO Box 1040, Lyons, CO 80540.

Payment and Fees
An application fee for each family must accompany the application form. This processing fee is nonrefundable. The fee for new families is $45. The fee for returning families is $25. Upon acceptance to LCM, an enrollment fee of $150 per child is due with the enrollment form. In addition, a one-time snack fee of $35 per family is also required on acceptance.
The first of nine tuition installments is due September 1st. Tuition rates will be adjusted if a child enters school after the school year has started. Payment of tuition is divided into nine equal installments. Please note that tuition installments are due the first of each month and all fees are nonrefundable.
There are no makeup days or refunds. If you would like LCM to hold a mid school-year spot for your child, we will be happy to accommodate you at the full monthly tuition fee.
Payment
Monthly tuition payments are due the first of each month, beginning September 1 through May 1. Payments are considered late on the 9th day of the month. Payments received after the 10th will be assessed a $25 late fee. If the monthly tuition payment is not received by the 30th of the month, your child will be dismissed from the LCM program. A fee of $37 will be assessed for any returned checks.
Checks should be made payable to Lyons Community Montessori and may be left in the "tuition cookie jar" at the school or mailed for receipt by the first of the month to Lyons Community Montessori, PO Box 1040, Lyons, CO 80540.
If you opt to pay your monthly tuition by credit card, please fill out the credit card processing form included in this packet. Tuition paid by credit card will be charged on the first of the month or the following Tuesday or Thursday thereafter. Please note that you may also pay your annual tuition by credit card. We accept Mastercard, Visa, and Discovery.

Our two-month summer programs are definitely a hit at Lyons Community Montessori. The curriculum is different from that offered during the school year and your child learns in a more laid-back environment. There is a greater focus on creativity and play during our summer program, and field trips are a staple. Children learn how to make pottery at Bohn Park, and gardening, music, dance, art, and nature walks are emphasized daily. And, of course, children get to play with our water table-their favorite!
Past outings include the Natural History Museum at the University of Colorado, the Boulder County Fair, Button Rock Reservoir, and Hall Ranch. The last day of every summer program ends with the children attending one day of the Rocky Grass Festival-the nationally renowned bluegrass festival held here in Lyons every summer.
